Jamie is admitted to the New York State Bar.  For over a decade, Jamie has focused her practice on the defense of toxic torts, product liability and mass torts with particular emphasis on asbestos litigation. Jamie has years of experience participating in trials, litigating on behalf of, and defending product manufacturers, distributors, premises owners, contractors, corporations, and small businesses against claims of alleged asbestos and talc exposure. She has extensive jury trial experience and has tried numerous cases in the New York City Asbestos Litigation (“NYCAL”) as well as other New York jurisdictions resulting in favorable outcomes for her clients. Jamie has also served as National Coordinating Counsel for several clients including the developing and coordinating of defenses and interfacing with the client and opposing counsel.

Previously, Jamie was Partner and Of Counsel to other national law firms where she also participated in the management of the toxic tort departments. Jamie’s experience further includes several years working at an international insurance company where she was Assistant Vice President in the Major Case Unit and responsible for litigation management of multi-million dollar insurance claims.

Jamie is a graduate of the St. John’s School of Law, where she received a scholarship for academic achievement and her Juris Doctorate, and C.W. Post, Long Island University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts, and graduated with honors in Psychology.

Sylvia K. Chandler graduated from Rutgers College, Rutgers University in 2001 and New York Law School in 2004. Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Chandler served as a law clerk to the then Presiding Criminal Judge Edward Coleman and to the then Presiding Civil Judge Harriet E. Derman both in the Somerset County Courthouse, Superior Court of New Jersey.  Over her years of practicing law, she has managed various types of high-profile accounts and has experience in representing clients in high stakes and sophisticated product liability, toxic tort, wrongful death, personal injury and premises liability matters.  Ms. Chandler has zealously represented various manufacturers of equipment, suppliers and contractors.  She was involved in all aspects of litigation including but not limited to, conducting discovery depositions, drafting successful dispositive and in limine motions, retaining and working with experts and appearing in court. Ms. Chandler also has experience in working on a variety of other toxic tort matters including lead paint litigation, as well as other insurance defense and general liability matters in the Federal Courts and State Courts of New York and New Jersey.
